Collection concerns the career of Willis and his connection with Cornwall-on-Hudson and includes an 1836 issue of the NEW YORK MIRROR, where Willis worked; transcript of his library inventory taken in 1867; photographs and prints of Willis and his estate "Idlewild," ca. 1860-1950; transcript of records from the auction sale at "Idlewild" in 1869; and clippings, articles, and typescript biographies of Willis.
